Why would you ever carry your iphone when running? Looks silly and it gets wet.

You can download apps that track your run by gps. I know a few people that use their iphone instead of a garmin or whatever.
Thanks but then you look silly with the thing on your arm. Any how do you operate it when its slung across your bicep?
Uhhh...ever heard of Siri?
I use it for pandora.
I'm on callout every second week. So I carry a phone (not an iphone) so I can run somewhere other than a treadmill.
Maybe the guys that you're feeling superior to is too important to be in incommunicado for the duration of a run. Physician, C-level exec, etc.

Corrected for grammar.
I run with my iPhone for the following reasons:
1. I now am old and I run by myself Mon-Fri so I have a one touch 911 app in case I have a medical problem or accident (I am not as agile as I used to be).
2. I have a running app, Runkeeper, that tracks my mileage and I have set to give me my mileage and average pace each mile. I like that much feedback on my training.
3. I occasionally stop and take a picture since I run training routes with some great scenery.
4. I am a professional with a few clients who pay me a lot of money to be available close to 24/7.
5. It is barely noticeable to me and doesn't affect my form strapped to my manly bicep.
I don't listen to music or podcasts when I run.
