Just checking in. When I found out these shoes were being discontinued, I bought four pair of them. Mileage-wise, I am half way through the last pair.
Called Road Runner Sports & the guy I spoke with said that re the 2110, size-wise, the Asics line is the same as the 2110. This is important, because I run with 1/8" cork wedges at the bottom of each shoe and also with prescription orthotics.
I told him I did not want to run in a shoe with a Solelyte midsole, because I get half the mileage on these shoes versus the SPeva, which the 2110 has.
Shoe-wise, he said the closest current Asics models to the 211o are:
The Gel Neo 33 - know nothing about this shoe
The New Kayano - I will pass on this, I am not spending $150 plus on a pair of running shoes
The GT 3000 - know nothing about this shoe
In May, I will have been running 45 years. I am old and slow. I just want a stability shoe which will support my feet, not cause me problems, and hopefully last 250 miles (which is what I was getting from the Asics 2110s). I run almost exclusively on the roads.
Thanks for any feedback on this thread.
