I am a bit apprehensive putting this thread up knowing mostly morons will respond.
I am a high school XC/TF that loves my job. I would love to make a living at this and have been putting out applications for a year. I will give my generic qualifications and see what advice I get.
I have been coaching for 19 seasons, a couple state champs, built three programs from scratch. I have my USATF level one certification, I was recognized nationally as a coach, directed summer running camps, interned under a well known Olympic coach for three weeks. In addition, I have coached a couple of post collegiate a with a measure of success.
Related experience includes a couple masters ( though not in ex phys), service both enlisted and officer in the us army, significant teaching credentials.
It is frustrating to see all these programs that suck knowing I can do a better job and then not even get an interview. I would love to hear some positive suggestions from people who aren't retarded.
