But again, what the hell does 2:03 have to do anything? We're talking about an elite athlete in a different endurance sport running 43 minutes slower than that.
Frank Shorter's vo2 max tested at pretty much the same as Lances, and Shorter ran 2:10 like 40 years ago. Why is vo2 max even an issue in this argument?
It's like none of you have the first clue about physiology. vo2 max =/= magical limiting number. I mean, hell, Derek Clayton's vo2 max was 69.7 and he ran in 2:09 in 1967.
So, cycling guy, yeah...you don't know what you're talking about.
