Throughout a lot of the postings here, I've come to understand that there's a difference between the training to peak in high school, and the training to peak in your later years (Rupp). My question is, how does one achieve a high school peak?

I believe that is a more complicated question than an answer on a message board allows. History of training, your style of training, your race schedule, your life schedule, future training all contribute to how to peak an athlete. Like you hear often, one training plan doesn't fit every runner.

In full sweep it is complex.
But for the immediate race, peaking is easy.
If you are male, avoiding sexual activity is the best plan. If you are female, being mastered 48-72 hours prior to the race enhances endocrine system output and creates an optimal phyiosological balance for peak performance in the competition.
