So I am hurt and can't do any pressure stuff like biking. Swimming is ok though but I haven't swam in years. I knew how to do basic freestyle back in the day but only swam every once in a while for fun with friends in the summer. My form is probably going to be horrible now.
So, for cross training, what is a respectable amount of distance to swim to get in some good fitness? I have a feeling I'll be tired after 50m. How much should I swim? I just plan on doing freestyle back and forth.
I'll probably have to rest every couple laps too. Is that defeating the purpose of the workout?
I just don't have a good grasp on swimming as x-training because I have never done it. So what do most people swim to be considered a decent amount?
Also any tips on how to get good form? Should I just watch a couple videos? I'm not going to get a teacher or anything, just need to swim for about a week and get some good endurance in while I'm out. Not looking for any actual swim workouts (intervals), I just plan to swim continously
