Update: Last night I started drinking more water, I have heard it helps with the crepitus. As I placed my first step of the day onto the ground upon waking up, there was mild pain. About an hour later, I put on a compression ice wrap. Sitting here typing this with the compression ice wrap on with my foot on the ground, my achilles is surprisingly absent of pain as I bring it through its whole range of motion while applying pressure to the ground. During the course of the whole injury, I had not once felt achilles pain in the morning other than the last two days, in which I completed two embarrassingly slow runs. I do not know what to interpret from these last few days in which I have resumed some form of running. However, in the whole scheme of things I am begining to think I was not ready for those two runs and more broadly, I think my recover was not long enough, and I have dug my self into a slightly deeper hole.
But I don't know what to say for right now, as my achilles is now numbed by ice
