Some background info: over the summer i had weeks of 23,25,31,33,36,40,37,39 miles while having shin splints. I took 4 weeks off after xc from everything and just started weightlifting(squats,power cleans, dead lifts) 3x/week. I am now starting to run again with 5 miles this week and 10 miles next week. How should i go about building my mileage to ~40mpw during the base phase(until mid febraury)
