Nobody has addressed this. The odds of kids taking and using a teacher's gun are much higher than the odds of there being a mass murderer showing up at a school. There are plenty of disturbed or antisocial kids who might decide to grab a pistol from a teacher whose back is turned, be able to overpower a teacher, etc.
It's one thing to have police or security guards in schools where their job is to maintain security and who are focused on security - that's common already. It's another thing to expect a teacher to be able to teach and deal with everything in the classroom and never be in a position to be disarmed.
