Jon Olsen leads after Ian Sharman had issues with the heavy rain. Sharman has run in the 12's for a 100 in the past.
Michael Arnstein, AKA "The Fruitarian," was running 6 minute pace for awhile at mile 73 in an effort to get under 13 hours for 100 miles.
Connie Gardner in 9th place is the American record holder in the 24 hour w/149 miles. She's a ferocious competitor, and it will be interesting to see if she can get into the 150's.
He actually needs a 3:07 marathon (7:08 pace) to get under 13, and he has since slowed a bit.
The race is 24 hours, though, and I fully expect him to run all the way through.
