What has happened to the young people in our country? A private company puts together a great XC event for the youth of our country and we get a bunch of whining because the course was too wet. Bejesus, folks, that's XC....that's what it is about, testing people. I suppose those with weak bodies and and no commitment have a right to whine. Sure stinks to be a loser.
It's a sickness that many of those born in the Entitlement Generation have.

I've been to this event as a parent/fan in 2010 and 2012, both wet years, and have observed a lot of kids having a lot of fun with the water and mud. sure it's slow but you have the better runners winning/placing high regardless. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I will say that runners that aren't very strong don't do well in the mud. So you are getting some griping from the weaker-framed folks and their defenders.
