I'm not sure if I like D1 Regionals on Friday. Also, it really bites that ALL of the NCAA meets are now on Saturday.
Any chance that D1 will go back to having the NCAA meet on Monday?
Any thoughts for or against the set up this year?

The feedback from meets like Wisconsin Invite seems to be that the coaches and teams like racing on Fridays. (Although those that go on such a day are possibly a biased subset of teams).
As for Nationals on the weekend rather than on Monday, I think it is due to a fundamental change in the schedules and travel relative to 50 years ago. I doubt that they will be going back, although I could be surprised, and the 'experiment' is still pretty new. Note that college football is really ramping down by mid-November, so there is more news play.
The Regional format works for me this year, get to watch the Badgers on Friday and then a short drive to Oshkosh for the D3 Regional.
The NCAA weekend now comes down to picking one meet to watch. In past years I have been able to take in D3 on Saturday, and then D1 on Monday. Would have been a great double this year with Terre Haute and Louisville, unfortunately those days may be done. I would love to see the NCAA go back to the old schedule.
Hey 26mi235, any word on the 10k layout at Zimmer? Will the k and mile marks be on, how about the overall distance?
Will your boys being running some youngsters, or just having the top 7 tempo the meet?
Has there ever been a 10k on the new Wisconsin course? I can only find 8k past results.
I wish all questions were this easy.

The 10km is basically the 8km course except rather than run into the finishing straight it loops behind the finish just like at 4km. It continues behind but rather than take the higher cut to the back side it follows the initial route (i.e., at about 600m and goes all the way down to the bottom of the course. The 8km mark is now just past the location of the finish line and the 9km mark is between the 5km mark and the 1 mile point. It then continues the outside loop, goes down the downhill that the course takes at the 1 mile point (loop 1 and the 5.5km point (loop 2). However, rather than making the 160-degree turn that goes to the 2km point continue straight another 100m and then pick up the curve that leads into the finishing straight.
Where is the link to the manual including the map (last page), but it took a long to load for me just now.
