ISL Rankings:
1. Middlesex (D3)
- Best team in the ISL by far, even without last year's ISL runner-up Garret O'toole (who is out with a stress fracture indefinitely), Viraj Deokar could win the ISL and will definitely be top 3, Lukas Estrada has gotten very good, and will most likely be top 5, Peter Howe is inconsistent but if he runs well he will definitely be top 10. Gavin Fujimori could also be top 10 and will definitely be top 15. the question for them is how close can they get their number 5 to their already amazing top 4? Also can they get garret back in time for ISLs? Either way, I don't see them losing.
2. Roxbury Latin (D2)
- I have them at number 2, but they could be 4 because st. paul's and st. mark's are just as good as them (st. paul's even beat them on an off day for rl). They are led by the favorite for ISLs, Joey Mullen, who is currently undefeated. Their current number 2, Harry, Doernberg, is a bit inconsistent, but if he runs well he could be top 15 (he was 18th last year, and is better this year), their number 3, Rafael Brantley will really need to step up though if he is going to get top 20 (he is currently a high 17 guy, which will most likely put him in the mid 20s). Their number 4, Luciano Ferzoco will also need to step up (he is right behind brantley in most races). The big question for them is how well can Hamza Chaudry finish his season? He was 12th at ISLs last year, but he was injured coming into this season. He has been getting faster with each race, so how high can he place at ISLs.
3. St. Mark's (D2)
- If they hadn't lost to RL early in the season, these guys would be number 2. They have the best top 3 in the league, better than middlesex. Sean Mclaughlin, Eric Danielson, and Liam Monheim (not sure how healthy he is right now-he didn't run in their last race) are all high 16 to low 17s, and could all finish in the top 10 (I'm guessing mclaughlin gets 3rd or 4th at ISLs). The question for them is how close can they get their second pack to their top 3. They have 4 guys in the low 18s right now, so if at least 2 of them ran well, they will easily take 2nd at ISLs.
4. St. Paul's (D1)
- St. Paul's is a bit of a mystery to me. They beat RL in a tiebreaker, they are deep, but their top guys haven't really shown as much as they were expected to. Marc Roy who was 15th at ISLs last year has raced once this season (my guess is that he is coming back from an injury). Jack Evenson has improved from his 20th place last year, and he has led the team so far running mid 17s. Then Max Felix, and Abram, have both been low 18s, which is slower than I've expected but still alright. Their 5 and 6 have also been low 18s. If these guys are all healthy come ISLs and running well they could be top 3 maybe top 2. If not they could drop all the way to 7th or 8th.
5. Nobles (D2)
- The surprisingly good Nobles squad looks to have its best finish in the past decade this season. Eric Jubber leads this squad and he has been getting faster with each race, he is currently mid to high 17s, but he could be top 15 at ISLs. Their next 5 are all low to mid 18s and they will seriously need to step up over the next few races if they are going to place highly at ISLs (looking at them right now, they have one guy in the teens and 5 in the 30s).
6. Governor's (D2)
- Govs has a great top 3, but very little depth. Mclean Sherrin, their 1, was 10th last year, and will definitely finish top 15 this year. Their 2 and 3 have stepped up to replace the many seniors they lost, they are currently high 17s to low 18s, and should finish in the 20s at least. They really need their 4 and 5 to step up though if they want to finish well, or they could find themselves placing lower than they have in a while. I see them finishing anywhere from 5th to 9th.
7. Belmont Hill (D1)
- Bel is respectably deep, but they are lacking in front runners. They have a decent 1 and 2 who are currently running low 18s, and a bunch of guys running high 18s. Without anyone in the top 20, I don't see them finishing any higher than 6th
8. Milton (D1)
- Milton has a great new frontrunner, but they are certainly not the team they were last year. They have a great 1 (Connor James, low 17s high 16s, most likely top 12), their 2 and 3 are alright, but they lack any type of respectable 4 and 5.
... I don't care about any other teams after that, sorry
