Any D1 New England Prep School track kids out there (Exeter, Andover, Avon, NMH, Loomis, Taft, Milton, Brunswick, Hotchkiss, Choate, Deerfield)? What are your predictions for the distance (800m - 3k) events?

Who cares? D3 is better this year.
So? Im in D1 and am asking other D1 kids...
I predict Garrett O'Toole will hand anybody in New England their behind at any of the races mentioned.

If he stays healthy.
Don't know a lot about D1 track, I'm in the isl so i mainly focus on the ISTA.
But I think it's just going to be a mix of Courville, Whittall, Quaroni, Hussein, and Gray.
And watch for Connor James from Milton, kid's legit, he just had a bad race at D1 XC.
O'toole is going to destroy everyone in D3 and the ISTA if he's healthy
I want Hussein to CRUSH the 3k this year again... But Exeter is super hungry to beat him, so it will be a good match up. Quaroni is remarkable considering that he's a sophomore, but I dont think he has the finishing speed to stay with them... As for James, I actually ran with him at NE D1 XC for the first two miles, and he died off really badly- I'd like to see him do well during track, though.

Quaroni hung tough at the end of NEPSTA D1 XC and if his improvement from this year to last year in xc follows over to track then I think he'll be to hang with the top guys at the end. I think Courville and Gray will definitely give Hussein a good race.
You must be pretty good seeing that James faded badly off of you and he still got 15th..

Courville won that race last year.
The quarter-quell rule requires all past NEPSTA championship-winning teams to compete in a XC race instead of track meet this spring.
Which teams would be in the hunt? I am thinking the 2003 Exeter squad is hard to beat. Harry Norton is still in sick shape and would likely take the 1 stick.
Right-- sorry... I just want someone besides Exeter to win; they're basically on a collegiate running schedule...

^^
yeah I hope/think Hussein will do some fantastic things this year during track. Joey Mullen from Roxbury Latin has also proven that he is right there as well. They aren't in the same division but after what I have seen him run in the early season indoor races he should be at the top as well.
Bunch of guys showed up for the GBTC invitational at harvard today, ton of exeter guys, and i think i saw hussein, mullen and connor james. Mullen and James easily went 1-2 in a 3k with solid a solid 9:18 and 9:20, and hussein beat out a group of exeter guys for a 4:28 or so in the mile.
With hussein, courville, gray, ian whittall from andover (NEPSTA All Star meet champ), quaroni, and james the D1 3k should be stacked.
The dark horses in DI are Quaroni and James. I'd love to see them take down some of the big names in that division. I've run with both of them and definitely believe they'll make a huge impact this spring. It'll all come down to winter training.

What does this mean?

It means they run 70 mile weeks and train like much harder than other prep schools
Bumping this thread-- last minute predictions for the 1500, 800, and 3000 at NMH on saturday?
I predict slower winning times than the D3 winners.
Thats great, but I really dont care about D3, the thread is on D1
