We all know that schools are cutting programs left and right. Was wondering if any schools have recently added track to their athletic programs?

Georgian Court just went coed in their athletic department. XC and track will be added and compete soon.
Oregon State added a women's distance program in 2004. A few field eventers have joined the fray, and the track was completed this summer. Rounding out the rest of the womens' events is next. More money is still being raised to fund the men's program from an endowment.
It's a slow process to get a program reinstated, but that's probably the reality for most schools going forward. It's tough enough to keep money in the budget for the small sports, let alone get more set aside.

Around '05/'06, I think Temple added XC. Think they also had an individual A-10 winner this year too. Nice sucess story for a program.
2 of the 4 historic international medal machines have been in turmoil. Stanford has replaced it's coaching staffs a few months ago. UCLA did same a few years back. USC and Cal remain intact.
