Lance had my baby!
im a senior boy who ran 70mpw this summer. She beat my time my 6 seconds. I'm gonna cry
27 seconds faster than Jordan Hasay... she would have been 48th in the boys invitational, ie she would have scored on many of the top teams in CA... for the boys...
I would LOVE to see her, run the NCAA champs 6k this year...
Hopefully she doesn't over race... saves the big efforts for NxN or Footlocker

Tirunesh Dibaba would be a varsity runner on pretty much any D1 XC team and would kick the sh*t out of most big talkers on this webiste. Don't worry about the top tier females bro, worry about the hot ones you can bang.
She has smart people managing her talent. Don't underestimate that extra 3-4weeks of summer training she got while other elites raced at NON,junior nationals etc into July. She's a endurance monster and and doesn't over race.
Very curious about her training. We have heard a lot about Mary Cain's training..be interesting to compare what they both do. Someone should interview the Simi Valley coach.

what's Mary Cain's training like?
Mary Cain mentioned in an interview that she got up to 60 a couple times the summer before her sophomore year. I wonder If Baxter has got up to that range yet. If not..WOW just WOW

This was the greatest performance in the history of high school cross country...NOT AN EXAGGERATION!!!!! She broke Amber Trotters record by 16 seconds!!!!!! She beat Hasay's pr by 27 seconds!!!! Widely regarded as the hardest xc course in the nation with 3 huge hills!! OH MY GOD!! This is a fantastic boys time!!! No one can touch her this year! She has McNabb in the bag!!
You ain't seen shit!
I am stunned. Hope she has Jordan Hasay balance and desire to stay with it.
she's 100% a heel striker.
watch the vid:
thanks
Addie Zerrenner ran a speedy race too.

What the heck king of XC course is this? I only saw like 20% of it run on grass and majority of the race is run on roads...how can you call this an XC course? I wish we ran on courses like this when I was in HS.

Actually, less than that on grass. The majority is on dirt.
I saw Alberto Salazar lurking behind a beard and sun glasses during the race.

Nope I was there..it was the regular course! Absolutely i.nsane...this chick is unreal. Oh and did I mention she is a junior and has many more cracks at this course before she graduates
They renovated the course several years ago and it is faster now than it was before the renovations (something about getting rid of the loose dirt and hardening it up, if I recall correctly). I don't know exactly how much faster it is now, but 16:00 is just ridiculous.
Taller, yes. Cleavage, huh?
That was impressive. wrote:
She has gotten noticeably taller and has clearly grown some significant cleavage. Good to see this hasn't affected her running.
ok, I did some research - this is a 2.93 mile course, not a 5k. I thought Baxter had run a 5k on that course in 16 flat.
At 2.93 miles, it is around 60 seconds short of a 5k. So maybe a mt sac xc race does equal a track 5k.

still awesome to break the record by that much, but she is no Abbey D or Hassay.
Actually, the course is running about 15-20 seconds slower than when Trotter ran 16:10
I still say Ritzenhein's 14:10 at the Michigan State meet is the best performance ever. Second place was :55 back. THAT runner won Footlocker the next year. Second fastest time on the course is 14:52, run by Jason Hartmann two years prior.
