I'll skip a lot of the useless jibber jabber. I'm a freshman in college right now. I don't run cross or track for my school, because I didn't make the cut for either.
In high school I ran 53, 2:05, 4:48, 10:32, 16:40 for 3 miles. I think that my ideal distance is the 800, because there's obvious drop off the longer the distance gets. I never really trained for an 800, I always ran to be good at cross.
Now that I train myself, I feel that maybe I should take a different approach based on my strengths. I want to run a few open races during track season, maybe one indoors. I'm not setting any goal times for myself, I'd just like to see how far I can get with my credentials.
I took a small break after graduating high school, since I had done XC/track for 4 years. This past week I started getting back into the grind. I've been doing some 4-5 mile runs at ~7:10 pace.
Basically, I don't know how to get from here, to the track in March/April. I need help. I know there's quite a few well credentialed runners on here that could help me out. Ideally, I'd like a week by week plan. We can communicate through e-mail, or on here. I'm pretty much asking LR to coach me.
Thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to post. Trolls will be ignored, don't bother.
