I'm fairly certain you can compete.
As for redshirt, I think you can redshirt but you can't be forced by the coach to take an "athletic redshirt". Aka, you can sit out a year for academic reasons if you so wish.
nope. i just got an email from BU coach saying I cannot compete as a grad transfer. His exact words: "The Patriot League does not permit grad transfers to compete."
