I'm a college student who got into running after high school. I just got into track last spring and ran a few 1:58's in the 800 on 20 mile a week and one sprint workout a week training. I really want to commit myself to mid distance this winter/spring but i lack certain knowledge on how to train off the track.
What should a gym routine look like for an 800-1500 guy? I used to lift a lot of weights before I got into running so I know my way around a gym in that sense, but when it comes to running spefic training I feel like i'm a clueless sack of poop.
Any help or helpful resources on the subject would be GRAND.
Also, drills and all the jazz would be nice to know as well.
