I don't understand how people can act so disappointed with the huge steps American track and field has made in just the last four years. We've got different Americans winning medals at every major championship, we have MULTIPLE sub 13 guys, MULTIPLE sub 27 guys, multiple training groups that are producing major global competitors, and you're all still whinning? Track hasn't been nearly this good since the 60s and 70s.
This guy sums it all up pretty well. It's not very clear why a guy running 3:31 at a DL meet is getting flamed, nor the American record holder in the 10K coming down to run a 1500 in prep for a record attempt. You fellas need to re-calibrate your standards a notch or two and feel free to congratulate a guy once and a while for a brilliant run.
