Koech in 7:30. Jager in 5th?? 7:36 or 37
7:35 for Jager
7:35.16 per announcers
Jager in 7:35.16.
7:35.16 for Jager in 6th.
Bumby 7:44. Torrence 7:47
#9 all time US performer, I think.
Awesome run by Jager!! Way to go man. Glad to see a talented runner consistently living up to his promise. Not too surprised by Torrence's result. Going for it and fading at the end. Surprised a little bit by Bumbi, as he doesn't seemed to have improved after that initial uptick after joining Schumacher. Close to two years now without setting any significant PRs...
800 up next. Will Makhloufi show? Will he win?
Never posted about the finish of the 3k.
Isiah Koech ran 55 the last lap to win it.
Much of the second pack including Evan Jager caught the leaders at the bell. Jager ran 7:35. David Torrence faded the last lap to 7:44.
Jager said afterwards he wants to run a 5000 this year but Jerry Schumacher is against it.
Big Mac Makloufi ready to rock and roll.
Aman won. Makhloufi 2nd. He went out in last just like his 800 heat at the Olympics, then he crushed the next 300m to move to third at 500m. He moved past solomon at 700 and Aman just ran him down.
Who are the English announcers? God damn I love those dudes.
More interviews:
Emma Coburn:
Evan Jager said he wants to run a 5000m this year but Jerry Schumacher is against it:
David Torrence ran well for 2500:
Duane Solomon ran well for 700. He talks about trying to win Diamond League races whereas he used to not be able to get in them.
Makhloufi says he switched everything this year, coaches, he moved away, he trained in Kenya and that is why he is so good:
Looks like #6 all-time for 3k races, #9 if you count converted 2-miles.

PR for Bumbi by about seven seconds.

Those are not converted 2M races, those are intermediate 3000 times in 2M races. They typically set up a photo timer at 3000 in 2M races.
Bumbi was 4th at the Olympic Trials 5000. That is improvement if I've ever seen it.
My man aman.. solid run.. solid clean athlete

man f*ck schumacher, the kid is hot let him race
Torrence closed his last lap in 70 seconds...talk about dying.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Guys between age of 45 and 55 do you think about death or does it seem far away
