I seriously doubt the brothers Hanson will be any easier to get along with than other coaches.

This is the truth. It's Hansons way or the highway.
Hastings confirms departure. No decision made on where next for her

There is a big clusterfook brewing in Michigan. A young Prima Donna with lyme disease, a hard nosed I get what I want or else superstar, a couple of old meanies, add Hasty and Bizzary, and a whole gaggle of also ran guys, and 2 coaches who run a dictatorship and don't like input or to answer questions from athletes. Na.... I am sure nothing bad will happen.
You can almost feel the drama building. We need to to get Sage back to turn this into a reality TV show so we can watch it explode.
Gugala says he has an anonymous source stating that Hasting and the Hansons are in talks. I suspect this information may also have been gleaned from this thread.

This is so true.
Crazy how desi is cool with Amy joining the group despite her name being involved in relationship drama, but wants others gone. Would love to know the a Hansons rationale on that one.

So true, too. This is about to get very interesting. I'm staying tuned, indeed.

Mammoth TC has to live amongst the L.A. T&F community which won 18 medals in London. I'm not suprised they had to let people go given MTC won zero medals last week in London. Stanford and UCLA fired a whole bunch of coaches recently. When Stanford fired Lannana way back he had to scurry and ended up at a rinky dink D3 in the middle of Ohio. That's life in the big city.
The amount of ignorance in this post is outstanding.

I really thought it should be the other way around-- Desi leave the Hanson's to go train with Amy at Mammoth Lakes. For Desi to get to Deena's level she needs high altitude.
Why would she want to run 2:35?
Bill Rodgers said on a podcast that the difference between him and his generation and the current generation of Africans is high altitude. That's probably the difference between Deena and Joan too.
JR, please go away. We don't need to turn this into a 10 page thread on your disbelief with high altitude.
BR ws a PEDder, yes or no.

That's the diff between being a pro and being a college dweeb.

LOL.
You named exactly ONE person who runs the marathon. Do you want me to make a list of world-class marathoners who DO train at altitude?

Borrrrring, this is nothing compared to those crazy times a year or two ago, when they had that bipolar chick who went around sleeping in a different bed every night, that is when the cameras should have been rolling. I sure hope someone in CO catches my drift and starts taping tomorrow, otherwise, the only thing I am going to catch will be on Court TV, and Cops from what I understand.

Take a look at their haircuts, it's not that hard to figure it out.
Cept the Brooks money with the athletes
haircuts? Huh?
I wonder if Hastings really is looking any where else? Can't really imagine where else she could go... not many training "groups" of women left.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
