I am really really really really hoping Eaton hits 9000! I doubt he'll break his WR, but having two 9s (and the OR) will etch his name in history. Not to mention the Hept WR.
Unless Trey trips & falls or pulls a hamstring or something freak like that, he's a lock for the Silver.
Suarez will narrow the gap (currently 218 points) on Trey a little bit in the 1500m, but Suarez should have the Bronze.
Van Alphen could conceivably catch Warner for 4th, but I can't see what his motivation would be to run that hard. Warner, on the other hand, could try to get close to Suarez, and achieve a "moral victory" by bringing his PR down and setting himself up as a solid contender for 2016 (and the WCs in between).
Sviridov, like Warner, could be a future contender: Sviridov is not yet 22; Warner is 22; Freimuth is the same age as Eaton (24.5); Suarez is barely older (25). Are these the decathletes of the next 4 years? I remember when Andrei Krauchanka burst onto the scene, I was expecting him to get at least a couple of silvers and/or golds over the years; but he never quite reached that potential, sadly.
