If Block is banned from contact with athletes, why did he have dinner with Richardson and Jeter in May? There are too many questions to continually use the "anybody could have been there/it's just a coincidence" excuse for all of them.
Block was in the VIP area, left immediately following an athlete he seems to be coaching, went out to the practice track area in a restricted area (end of the attempted interview, past the security guard), he had dinner with two athletes that were competing in the Trials, one of whom he "used to" coach and represent. Period. All facts, all possibly violations.
And the only answer from Nike.... "Our procedures need to be reviewed".
Nike is petty enough to flip out over Brooks pulling an advertising stunt, they are savvy enough to slip Alan Webb into an event he didn't belong in, and they can get their way in the Tarmoh/Felix debacle. They are alert enough to recognize the black listed and banned former coach of one of their star athletes and remove a single person from an area he doesn't belong. How many Brooks reps were kicked out? They knew EXACTLY where they were sitting.
At the VERY LEAST, Nike simply chose to look the other way and more than likely invited him and gave him his credentials. They clearly condone coaches and athletes that use PED's.
