Just flipping ahead to this last page here, it seems like the topic of "Lauren Fleshman" has fallen away and be replaced by some penny ante personal grudge match. Man, I hate when that happens.

I remember when Lauren use to beat Kara and Shalane and was reguarded as the future of U.S. distance running. I can only imagine what she could have achieved if she had stayed healthy. Btw, Lauren was never a super intense high mileage type and through out her career she has run well coming off of injury and being undertrained. - With that said, this is the only time where she actually looks out of shape and I'm surpised she made the finals. I don't think she has a chance at making the team, but I wouls not be surprised to see her run some decent time later in the summer if she can get in a solid month of world class athlte type training.

Michael Berry I wrote:We've had enough of her and her silly blogs which are nothing more than an attempt to keep her name in the game. Give it up Lauren, you are done. Please move over and get out of the way for others. How ridiculous can this saga get?
She qualified for the trials 5000, showed up, and made the final on guts. Nothing ridiculous about that.
"Is she tough?" wasn't the OP's point. It was "she's full of herself". When faced with a compelling argument, the defence of those with no sound logic (or reading comprehension skills) is to argue a different point altogether.
"Lauren is a humblebrag"
"What are you saying? she's tough!"
See how ludicrous that is?
