Hey,
I'll be a freshman next year, & I really want to run cross country. But, I haven't been running for very long, and my 5K PR is 32:39 (but I usually run slower than that...). What would be a decent time to START the season with, considering that it's my first season & I'm a beginner, and I'll improve a lot? What time should I aim for in my first race? How much do you think my times could improve over the course of the season? (I'm a girl, btw.)
How fast & far do you think I'll be expected to run in practice? Should I run on the weekends, since the team already trains 5 days a week?
In an average xc meet, what time does the last place runner usually have? So I can be sure to run faster than that...
Thanks :) I know that's a lot of questions, but hey, I want to know what I'm getting myself into, lol :D If anyone has any more advice for me, I'd love to hear it!
