We are assigned runs for each day this summer. How can I train more without fcking shit up, or getting in trouble. I guess like ancillary stuff? I feel like when I finish my assigned run and stuff, I feel like I just haven't given enough time. I'm really dedicated, and wanna train and be the best.
It's summertime. He doesn't have any true authority over you right now. Run what you want.
Just run extra. The program he assigned is probably for the weaker runners. Or you can ask him if you can run more. Of course he might be scared of you getting injured.
I would just run extra, and not tell him.

No it wouldn't, at least not from your description. You said you were assigned runs. Adding more runs would not be messing up the schedule because your would still be completing what is is assigned. This is like saying you'd be messing up your learning and challenging your teachers authority if you did extra HW problems than the ones assigned.
If your coach is specifically told you not to run more then it's a different story...but that wasn't mentioned in the OP.
You have to ask yourself two questions.
Are you a better coach for yourself than your coach is? Be honest. you might be but make sure.
If the answer to the first question is "yes," then what is more important: being as fast as possible or not "getting in trouble?"
If you know what you need and you want to be fast, screw getting in trouble and do what you need to do.
Most great runners don't come from great programs. They often manipulate their coach's program to get results that coach has never gotten and never will get again.
Just ask your coach about it. It's not that hard.
If your good enough your good enough. Work hard. But why destroy yourself right now? It's June and you're peaking for November right?
You could just consider what the coach is telling you to run as the minimum, not the exact amount.

Want to run more? Here's an idea: Run more.
So your coach gave you a 40mpw schedule. You want to get 70 mpw, or whatever. Do the assigned stuff the first week. Next week, do that and one morning five-miler. Next week, two five milers. Six weeks in and you're at 70.
Pay attention to your body, and if you're overtired or feel anything tweaking don't add miles the next week. Make every 4th or 5th week a down week and just do your coach's stuff.
How hard is this???
Don't come on here in three years saying how your 5k is 17:30 but could be faster if your coach had developed you more. Go do something.
Do this: Run an extra 5-10 miles slow the first week, and slowly build it up to whatever (you can get it quite high actually). If you run the extra mileage slow, it will not tire you, you won't get injured and your coach will be happy with your improved fitness (slow running does improve fitness).

Are you improving? If so then be content and let your coach do the worrying. He gets paid for it.
swim/ bike a couple times a week to supplement your training. non impact and you can get some good cardio stimulus without breaking yourself down as much.
circuit strength training is your best bet. The advice of just run more is ridiculous, and frankly, stupid. Heck, take up a Pilates class or something if you are unsure of how to structure a general strength program.

My point is very simple and I'm surprised you missed it. Over training yourself is bad even when NCAA champions do it. Over training happens to the best athletes in the world. So it can happen to anybody.
The OP is still in school. How many years of free coaching does he have left? Take advantage of it now. In all too few years he'll have to pay for it out of pocket.
Again, if he is improving, however slowly, stick with the program until the improvement stops. The extra miles would be for ego.
you could always try two a days, or just training at a faster pace. be careful with that stuff though...could be playing with fire.
