Your either autistic or this is the greatest troll post in the history of mankind. You found out you had an IQ of 142ish (the ish means you have no idea) and it made you think about posting in a 3 1/2 year old troll thread. Well done my friend.

i just took high-iq quick test
http://www.iq-test.com/free-iq-test/i got 92 - 108 according to them, mainly because i coudn't do it within 5'00 ( & random clicked 3 - 4 )
probably couda got 6, maybe 7 right if i had 30' on it ( i'm long past doing exams, so time spent on getting correct answer is no longer an issue - that's real world )
not sure how that woud push up 92 - 108 with ~ 1/2 random clicks & i'd call myself pretty smart but no genius, as i been to top college where i met real genius guys?!
I finished my 4th beer in the last hour, and saw this post and tried it. I was given:
Note: The free IQ test you took was rather short. For an accurate estimate of your IQ score a longer and much more elaborate IQ test is required.
Based on your performance on the IQ test we estimate your IQ score to be:
Your IQ score lies within a range of 133 up to 149, or it may be even higher!
Pretty sure I got every question correct, and it took me under 90 seconds. I am a teacher, and was tested above 155-160 opn 3 separate tests. You will be frustrated by some of your colleagues. Some of your colleagues may be frustrated with you.
That bottom quartile that you found frustrating grow up to be America's teachers. This is well documented. So you will find all your coworkers frustrating. It is one of the great tragedies of our country that we have such low IQ teachers. Anyways, I thought I could make a difference. My IQ is about 160. To make a long story short, they won't hire you. I did all the training, all the school and searched nationally. No one would hire me. This was to teach secondary math, physics, chemistry. There may be some small non-union private schools that would hire you. I had a couple interviews with them. Some 20 years later, I still plan to teach. It'll be my own school. There is no question that I can teach. I can see that your kids get that higher SAT, ACT score. They will get into the best colleges. There's a market for it where I live. The education community doesn't even get it. They don't understand the need for intelligent teachers. They don't see a connection. My son is in fifth grade now. Last year his teacher couldn't do the fourth grade math. I have a masters degree in education. Believe me, my classmates were dumber than dirt. I never even had to crack open a book.
Maybe they didn't hire you because you don't know how paragraphs work?
The correct answer is he's too smart to be posting on this site.

I'm sure you're a better interviewer than I because my social skills lack. But I know I can teach the crap out of biology,
Teaching is about relating the material to the students and actually making them care about what you are saying. If your social skills are currently lacking you are probably good at talking about Biology but not necessarily teaching it.

I'm shipping off to college in a couple months. I'll be going to a state school where I'll likely graduate at the top of my class. The thing is, since the beginning of my life, I've wanted to teach. My dream is to teach high school biology.
The only problem is I think I might be too smart. I'm already more intelligent than any teacher in my current high school. I'm worried that if I become a teacher, there will be a lot of tension because I'll be overwhelmingly smart. I understand a lot goes into being a good teacher, but I believe being a good teacher has more to do with practice rather than brains. Is it a good idea for me to pursue teaching, or does my intelligence rule out that field for me?
Trust me, if you get into a classroom, I am certain that you will also have a prick who thinks he is also smarter than all of his teachers. It goes with the territory.

yeah
i here lotta about smart under-paiders
no idea about IQ rating but i was embarassed about not solving this "properly" or within seconds laughably, in junior high few decades ago :
x^2 + y^2 = 74
( x + y )^2 = 100
xy = ?
As for athletics, I've held my own, in spite of dbag PE teachers like you.[/quote]
Keep your sex life out of this discussion, please.
No. You are too arrogant to be a teacher.
I tested 140+ plus in tests since I was a kid.
I thought it meant something.
Now that I'm in the corporate world, I realize that doesn't matter as much as having a high EQ to get ahead.
My IQ was tested at 15x. IQ is outdated and accurate models assess total intelligence, including spatial-visual perception, emotional/interpersonal, etc, intelligences. Even being tested at an older model, I still find most of my peers as smarter than me in certain classes, but less talented at other classes. Stop being arrogant and learn a good work-ethic.
By the way, every milennial isnt entitled to everything. Some of us are gifted with multiple intelligences and value hard work.
My perception is that you will be a college drop-out.
Your subject is grammatically incorrect. It should be "My IQ is 140; am I too smart to be a teacher?" Apparently you're not smart enough to know how a semicolon works.
Yes, you are far too smart to teach. I taught secondary school, very briefly, then lectured part time in tertiary education for more than 30 years.
In Australia, teachers at every level are poorly paid. IQ & success generally correlate. There are very few teaching with high IQ's. Over 130 is generally considered 'gifted', so people with a higher IQ would likely find the systems in place in education organisations intolerable & the financial rewards unsatisfactory. Remember, public servants design and maintain education & they aren't the cream of the crop anywhere in the world.
I'm sure those being taught would benefit from far more intelligent people teaching, but those teaching will undoubtedly suffer psychological harm from working in such an intolerable area of endeavour.
I left teaching full time after 18 months & within 10 days had tripled my income. As I enjoyed lecturing I maintained an association with tertiary lecturing for some time, but at the graduate level.
It's up to you!
I have kids in college with high IQs who went through "gifted" programs. A number of the "gifted" program teachers admitted that they in fact went through gifted programs.
These individuals were some of the most pathetic examples of teachers I have witnessed (I am a teacher as well). Simply put, they did not know how to teach since I assume everything came to them easy.
To use a baseball analogy, Ted Williams, one of the greatest natural hitters of all time, was a terrible hitting coach.
So if you wish to be a teacher, then for gods sake, learn to teach! Take the practicum classes seriously as well as the student teaching component.

I know this is an old thread, but I'll chime in with my two cents anyways. Admittedly, I have no idea what my IQ is. However, I have enough information to assume that is high. I scored a 34 on the ACT and a 1470 on the SAT back in '04.
I am a 7th grade math teacher who teaches the "regular" 7th grade course (meaning that the top 50 students in the grade test into a higher class than mine... this leaves me the remaining 125ish students in my 5 courses). I absolutely love my job. The kids are hilarious and endearing. Planning lessons is a synch. I work 175 days per year. I spend about 7 hrs per work day (maximum) focusing on work.
Pursue teaching if you haven't already. It's the best decision I ever made.

Deer Paul,
If your I.Q. is really 140, why would you want to be a teacher? College of Education majors are the stupidest people in universities. But on the other hand, teachers are overpaid, so maybe you should consider that.

I just read Ron Jeremy's biography and was shocked that before he became a pornstar he got a master's degree in special education. At a high school in Long Island tests revealed he had a 141 IQ. Instead of getting a shot at teaching he took different types of shots before the camera.
King dong has a near genius IQ. Ha, Ha.., who would have known.
Out of all the thousands and thousands of male porn actors of the last 50 years, he is the only one whose name anybody outside of the adult industry knows. And he's quite well known indeed, so that most of the people reading this know who he is. And it can't be just down to the size of his dick, impressive at 9 inches though it was. He obviously knew how to market himself.
He had that rare combination of dick size and high IQ.
Having a 9 inch peewee puts him in 1 in 100,000 category.
Having a 141 IQ puts him in the 1 in 1,000 category
Having a 9 inch peewee and a 141 IQ puts him in the 1 in a 100 million category. In other words, there are probably only 1 or 2 other men in the USA alive who could match both his penis size AND his IQ. And they probably never thought about entering the porn industry.
I myself have an IQ of 157.
People who think IQ is a good measure of intelligence are generally dumb. People who tell you their IQs are generally complete idiots as well as narcissistic whiners.
