Yes he works for espn, still. The sellout network that race baits and forces / encourages analysts to make up controversial takes for the money. I can actually stand to watch Cowherd though. He's not as bad as some of his espn associates who are faker than a pair of silicone ones.

cowherd comes off as an honest guy to me, so i won't say he's lying. that is the worst looking 6 minute mile I've ever seen. As others have said, looks like 8 pace. possibly somewhere in the 7s. Neither the stride or turnover looks good.

No, he works for Fox
So your bashing of ESPN is as accurate as all your other ridiculous posts
1600 meter run. The slowest guys got lapped by the fastest guys. The winner would have gotten lapped by the world record holder if he were running in the sam...

Wrong! He works for FS1 & on Fox Sundays during the NFL season.
Ever see an elite marathon where they are running 4:45 pace up front and it looks like they are jogging?
Then you see some spectator run along side them for 100m and it looks they are nearly sprinting.
You can’t tell pace by watching someone run. We’re all runners and have watched races and can’t tell his pace for sure by watching him.
If he’s in 4 flat shape, 6:11 will look like he’s jogging. If he’s in 6 flat shape, 6:11 will look more like a struggle. He must be in real good shape to make 6:11 look like a jog.

Not only did he leave ESPN, he did it 8 years ago. Steve, what kind of facts are you working with? Honestly, if you haven’t updated your info reservoir since the Obama era, it might be why you aren’t taken seriously on other issues.
I know thread is 10 years old, but I’m currently 49 with a similar build. There are already some good comments like 5 minute miler will look better at 6:15 than a 6:15 at 6:15. When I do a mile all out it feels and hurts probably how it looks. I wouldn’t be surprised if they fudged the time and distance a little, but it is also believable it is a 6:15-6:45.
He's 6'2" so that might account for why it looks slow. His goal was 6:30. Seems like if you were going to fudge you would claim 6:27 instead of 6:11.
Skip Bayless claimed a couple years ago that he could run 7 min. miles all day long, which is pretty impressive because he was almost 70-years-old at the time.
