Honestly, he seems to be racing a lot more, and I think the added experience will help him finish faster. Most non runners continue to progress fairly steadily for the first couple of years they run, and I do not think Lance will be any different. Obviously, there are a lot of courses faster than NYC out there, which will help if he decides to run one.

Although, I agree that I should not have said "Big PR", and should have simply said that he should "PR".

In my mind, this guy is a cheater, a dope user, a fraud. Just what I think..

Again, have proof of accuaations or don't make them. If the guys on here saying this unsubstantiated crap about all this doping were ever on a jury there would be a lot of innocent people behind bars.

Well, I'm a Lance fan (now) and would really like to see him do well. It always gives me hope when older guys do well in sports.

That said, anyone who has looked at the body of evidence that Lance doped during his reign over the Tour de France is going to be pretty convinced. When they developed a test for EPO in 2005 and retested 87 samples from the 1999 Tour, 13 samples tested positive and 6 belonged to Lance. Also, his closest teammates (Hamilton and Hincapie) have made it very clear that they doped with Lance Armstrong during this period.

So, it's awesome that Lance is making a clean go of it in his forties, and I'm behind him all the way, but let's not pretend that he lead a charmed/doping free cycling career.

Well if he was guilty then why didn't anything ever show up on the tests? Any why didn't any of those in the team make it clear that he doped, since he's retired from cycling now?

Anyway since he was doping then, he's probably still doing it now.

I've never received any speeding tickets in my life. Would you believe that I have never gone over the limit? I sure hope not. Lance has done a lot of good with his foundation, etc. He is still a champion in my mind as he competed alongside other cheaters. It was part of the game and business.

If Alan Webb started dominating the East Africans and winning the next 7 Oly/World championships in the mile by 5 seconds or more, wouldn't you think something was up? Oh yeah, and imagine if you find out all of the main East African contenders were all on drugs.

Guess you do not know the history of that case do you; IAAF, etc just avoided problems based on international rules on liability. Bad case of mis-handling the "A" sample (trunk of a hot car over the weekend, plus (google it read what the strong anti-dope guy has to say)). The "B" sample was 'clean' clean, not hint of anything, not just 'not enough to be positive'. The B sample was handled correctly.
