you must have forgotten about the other ryan then
Remeber that Ryan Kleimenhagen was barely out kicked by Bak indoor in the 1500. They booth have been running really well in cross this year. So, both have similar leg speed and both are pretty darn strong runners. Kleimenhagen really wants revenge for the indoor 1500 and is going to do everything in his power to beat Bak. Please keep in mind that I'm not ripping on Bak or saying the Kleimenhagen is going to win, but Bak isn't just going to walk away with it, he will be challenged, if not beat.
bak is not the same runner he was last year. he's able to run almost a minute faster than the year before and the year before he was one of the best cross runners in d3. I predict that he WILL walk away with it.
Tom Kreger from Hamline - 3rd at '02 NCAA 10k. 'Nuff said.
Bold prediction about Bak, a lot can happen in cross country. He could lose a shoe like Foos did last year, He could fall and get kicked in the head like Miller in the indoor 1500, he could just get run down by Kleimenhagen, or Miller or Krueger.
Tom Kreger from Hamline is a stud. Also, Adam Booth from Grinnell College, if his knee has healed up well, is the real deal- has challenged Kreger but ran hurt last week at regionals and only finished 5th. Kid is only a junior at Grinnell and now is close to holding the top 8k time ever recorded at the school, ran 24.48 at Augustana and 25 flat at Oakland Acres. These are very fast times. Brian Preuss is also good, as is Matt Hooley of Carleton, and Tyson Keith from Wartburg has to be watched as well. But Bak is really good, too.
Misssy Buttry.
I dont think anyone should really count out Justin Easter of Bates College either. Defending DIII national champ at the steeple, he knows knows how win at big races.
i'm sorry, but anyone who's mentioned easter or miller or anyone else in new england has not watched bak run against these guys. he beat east by a minute at the conference meet and just jogged beside miller until the last mile at districts. these people are all multiple tiers below bak in ability and conditioning right now. i can only assume the same applied to most of the other names you've mentioned.
dustin scott could be top 5 and his mates could be close behind. e-town to win it all??? they have a shot if they run well that day. you heard it here first.
You haven't seen Kleimenhagen race yet, that's why you aren't giving him any thought. I'm not going to say he's going to win, but he has just as much of a chance as Bak.
Nick Ricco....TCNJ
I think Kliemenhagen, Bak, Miller, Kruegger, Rico and Haxton are all good pics to contend. Will probably come down to Ryan K. and Ryan B.
Here is some Jimmy Masterlock Advice. In Div 3 Cross Country races held at a school where a former presidential nominees wifes cousin attended for a least two smemesters, AND two runners with the same first name and have non- animal mascot names for their school, and the state that it is being held in has a professional football team with a 3-7 record, the runner with the last alphabetically, (K for Kleimenhagen, vs. B for Bak) wins the race 27 out of 32 times.
Haha
good luck to all
Bak walked away from the field fairly early and busted it open in the hilly part of the course. He coasted at the finish to win.
