Had you lived in this kid's state, you wouldn't have had the same upbringing, training, conditions and competition level as you did in PA. Unless you moved there your junior or senior year you probably wouldn't have reached the same level you did in PA. So you probably wouldn't have finished second in the 3200.
I come from PA. In an area where the running culture is far from spectacular. So i'd have to say I'd probably do just as well in NH self-coaching like usual. Then again the fact that I win our local races is sort of like how that kid wins his NH races.
