Jordy Williams 3.36 at Swarthmore will be running at Villanova next year?
From Bobby Curtis' twitter feed: "on my way to Swarthmore. Should be a rockin meet. I hope to see Villanova's newest recruit, @jordywilliamsz, run 3:37 or better"

Doesn't that Nike contract he's had for the last few years make that a little tough?
Bobby is very rarely serious on his twitter. He was wearing an Australia singlet though instead of a Nike one.
Yeh its true jordie has signed with villanova. he is sorting thorugh the ncaa egibility issues currently. so...it isn't a joke
Dunno what the big deal is. Since when have massive guys (well, not counting Snell) been any good at running distances?

He's definitely got a pro deal, better pay that back if Marcus wants him on his DMR...
What are the rules on this type of thing? Can you just pay back the money and it goes away?
Jordan Williamsz has not signed anything to go to Villanova, and while that may be his first choice and would be planning on going there.....
It is not correct that he has signed on for anything, letter of intent or otherwise.
Folks have jumped the gun on this and while Curtis may be correct in that he is a Nova recruit as he is a Prospective recruit, he has not been finalized as a signed athlete.
why would Jordy Williams run in the NCAA. He's like a second over the NCAA record now. Doesn't seem like there would be much competition for him as compared to the diamond league.
There would actually be a few reasons
1. a Great program and phenomenal coach, look at where McEntee has gotten to in 4 races this outdoors, after 3:57 this year after 4:05 last year, Denault just Pred big at 3:42.26 as a true frosh
2. A great degree, running does not last forever.
3. There is not as much money out there for 3:36 high types as one might think
Trialswatcher is correct about it not yet being a done deal -- I made a definitive claim that it was completed this morning on a separate thread, and I have been told that I jumped the gun on things -- so, it's not yet happened. Sorry for misleading people.
The Borlee twins got through the clearinghouse, as have others. Who knows.

I'm not paying back sweet f*ck all!
I've got a good thing going. I give guys to Marcus; he gives them back to me when they're done.
fact he has signed with villanova. fact you can pay back prize money/benefits to regains amatuerism status. you may have to sit out a cetain percentage of indoor/outdoor/cross country races too.

Fact...
You are 100% incorrect, he has not signed with Villanova
he very well may, but has not
Only Markus Osullivan or maybe Marty Liquori would know the truth (maybe Gina). But since Liquori posted up above, I guess you're not him.
I guess it's a good thing for Villanova that their greatest ever female runner is married to the foremost coach in Australia.

I guess it must be like if a university had a close association with someone who owned one of the world's biggest athletic shoe and sports clothing manufacturing companies.
