7:56.59 for Koech in the steeple. Damn! Times are fast tonight
Mateelong right on his heels.

Koech is the man!
little late, but i just wanted to say congrats to asbel kiprop for finally getting under the 3:30 barrier. he's coming along excellently.
I want to see some more races where he goes out in 1:49 for his first 800!
Has Koech ever done a serious 5k? The guy is a beast.
Or any of these sub 8 steeple guys. What could they run for 5k?
Brimin Kipruto ruined my IAAF fantasy league dreams.

Official 10.92.
She had a pretty good start, but was in the lead at 40m. VCB actually made a late run, but Felix held her off. WOW Something new from Felix in the front half,
Sptintgeezer and I have talked in the past that this was coming. Allyson worked a LOT on her start in the winter and had a .25 second PR in the 60--actually one of the fastest times in the world in the 60 even though she only ran in one race.
She WILL go for 4 medals, but the question is which ones? This result makes a 100/200 double more likely than the 200/400 which totally wiped her out last year. And the 400/200 schedule in London is even more difficult than Deagu.
If Allyson gets a lead on VCB at 40, CAN Jeter run her down?
8th sub 8 for Koech and his 2nd best time ever. I'm damn impressed. First for Matelong.
Merritt 44.19 for the win. Big win.
It's a great meet so far. It would have been great to see what time Kiprop would have run had the unfortunate entanglement taken place on the homestretch.
Paul Kipsiele Koech just ran the 11th fastest outdoor 3000m steeplechase time ever, I believe -- fantastic.
Let's see how the final showdown of the meet unfolds...

Mentioned on the other thread....Will they put Koech on the Olympic team or snub him once again?
Wow, women's 3000 is JOGGING! Pacer was 34 at 200m and there was already a 10+m gap
what does YB stand for?
Stephanie Twell isn't a pacer is she? She's way out there in front of the 3000m women.

Wow the pacers are way out front. If the gap is big enough, I hope the pacers continue on to finish like John Treacy.
