Wow. Are they possibly the current favorite to win the team title in the fall?
I would have loved to have run for that guy.
Go Buffs! 2012 team to beat
Nah Oregon will always be the team to beat in the Pac 12 ;)
Hursyz
Cabral
Bosshard
Moussa
All four definitely in the top 50 and Nats. And take your pick of Wetmore's grinders for 5th, but should be in the top 80/100 at Nationals. I'm not a huge fan of the program, but they're going to be and XC force!
Well with that team Colorado is definitely going to be a force. Someone mentioned Oregon, but Oregon is going to have to hope that Gedyon makes it over to the team from Lane CC, and that their new british freshman Rich Goodman turns out to be a big catch, as they will lose Puskedra who has been huge for them especially in XC.
Colorado will look like this for their top:
Hursyz
Cabral
Bosshard
Moussa
Oregon's should be:
Dunbar
Stinson
Shrader
hopefully Mac Fleet will be back
Gedyon
Goodman
Elkaim
up front besides Dunbar and Stinson Oregon doesnt look like it could hold stride with Colorado's strong corps.
And that's not even talking about Stanford, who will lose some formidable talent but still have a strong team no doubt.
I like The idea of switching the order of the DMR in Cabral's interview. I would love it if it ended with the 1600 then the 400! Complete Chaos!!
Why would Cabral go to CU with a year left, leaving a top 20 program in the process? Makes no sense to me. Guess he got bored of winning so many Heps titles.
How do guys who have been working hard to stay in the top 7 on teams like Oregon, Oklahoma and Colorado feel when these other studs transfer in? Hard to imagine there's not a little resentment from guys who started their college careers there.

Graduate students cannot compete on Ivy teams, even if they have eligibility left. Cabral is graduating and is going to CU for business school.
where are the rest of the UNC guys going?
come to think of it, where did the queens guys go?
Its not that bad, but definitly frustrating. But no resentment for sure, as its alwasys a matter of beating people(I've been in this EXACT senario- top talent transfering in and a top D1 team). Just a spot or 2 less for the 5-10 guys or so at CU to duke it out now.
I wonder what Wetmore's thoughts are on this. I mean, obviously he is happy to have these talented guys come run for him - but it seems like he has never been a fan of bringing in or "buying" pre-developed talent. Winning with a team of these ready made studs has to be less satisfying for him than developing in-state guys to AA status like he has in the past.
Pre-developed talent, like er...Jessica Tebo/Pixler?

Having another 'A' talent on the squad, even if it is someone who was developed in another system, is good for the entire team. Wetmore isn't going to hold back on Cabral or Hursyz because of their past success, in fact, I would imagine the 3rd or 4th year walk-on guys will get revved up to kick their asses at altitude for the first couple months or so.
The guys transferring in are in an equally tough position because they have a target on their back within the team.
Grad. school transfers are all the rage these days. Ryan Collins helped Wisconsin win a national title this past fall, coming from UVA. Now Cabral for CU. Go Buffs!
CU has done so little in recruiting since Jay J. left, it's annoying to see them hang on for dear life with 6th year seniors and now transfers...It's desperation time and they're not even earning it anymore and you people are applauding that?!
Name one school that doesn't bring on transfers or Kenyans dip S***. Note those schools must be relevant.
