Mudd gets all the press in the 800, running 1:47 at Mt. Sac. Everett is sitting in Merber's shadow up at Columbia and only had a 4:17 1600 PR heading into his senior year of high school...ended up at 4:05 by the end of the year and now he is knocking on the door of sub-4 and improving every race. Creese has shown some freakish speed at Penn State...but will he burn out too quickly? Also, he seems to be a weird mix of a runner who could specialize in anything from the 400 to the 3K. Not sure he will eventually stick with the 1500/mile
My vote...Everett. The kid looks to be improving all the time and could have run much faster in his race (3:43) against Webb a few weeks back but he nearly fell with 300 to go. And...being an understudy to Merber for a year is not a bad gig.
