An interesting tidbit from the article:
"Until last Saturday, the 8K was the longest race Hatton had ever attempted. She runs 50-60 miles a week under the supervision of McConkey, and does long runs of 13-15 miles."
Not excessive mileage at all, so she has a lot of upside. I definitely see her becoming a 30:XX 5K runner one day. She hasn't hit the mileage of most Division 1 Womens XC teams yet.
When she's about 75 years old? Pretty sure she could crush that time today on an easy training run.
