Look pal, Subway is absolute shit. If you don't know anymore about nutrition than that, you are a dead man walking.

7/10 Funny, but too obvious to the trained eye

the chicken and turkey subs are pretty healthy. anything with bacon, salami, pepperoni, ham, or roast beef will have like 50%DV of fat. all the dressings are probably about 90% pure fat as well
You could lose weight on a Subway diet, but lunch meat isn't really good for you even if it's low fat. Not bad once in a while, but I wouldn't exactly call eating at Subway "healthy".

I'm finding it hard to see how wheat bread, chicken breast meat, and a variety of vegetables is "terrible" for you.
Biggest scam since the food pyramid is the notion that wheat bread is good for you. There is just as much sugar and enriched flour in wheat bread than white bread. People think if they put processed meat and cheese on wheat bread it's now healthy. Sad thing is it's a better choice than most but far from a good choice.
Funny, I lost weight by training for a marathon. Training for two marathons this summer should help you lose a few pounds, in and of itself.Matt Fitzgerald takes a good look at the subject of proper dieting for athletes to obtain their optimal "Racing Weight", with some common sense recommendations for managing your diet, sometimes providing the relevant scientific support or research on the subject.I think he doesn't mention Subway once.Generally speaking, the more your food is processed, the less healthy it is. Americans (and the world) became fat largely because of processed flour, and processed sugar.Looking simply at fat content is too simplistic, and a bad measure of how healthy the food is. You need to distinguish between the many kinds of fat. Fat in your diet is not necessarily bad for you. Some might even say fatty acids are essential. Low fat diets can be unhealthy.Diets looking at food in terms of some magic combination of carbs, fat, and protein is also misleading. High levels of training demand more carbs and proteins for energy and rebuilding muscles. Coach potatoes need comparatively less carbs, proteins (not to mention calories). This viewpoint also ignores any negative health effects of added preservatives, emulsifiers, artificial colors and flavors, not to mention including fiber in your diet.If you have a local butcher and a baker, you should buy your meat and bread there. If you have a natural health food store nearby, you should buy your food there. There's very little you should buy at your supermarket, but if you have no other choice, buy meat that looks like it came from the animal, and buy vegetables fresh (preferred) or frozen, and not canned. You should cook fresh food at home, rather than eating at any fast-food chain. If you drink excessive amounts of alcohol, moderate your drinking.

Another thing you are overlooking is SALT and even SUGAR.
They are killers in their own right. If I have to explain those, there is no hope for you. Just look at how much sodium is in Lunch meat.

Really, man? If you're really this stupid, just stop talking.
I produced a rather thoughtful point, and this is the best retort you can muster? Retard. Why do you so passionately defend Subway? Do you work there? Are you dependent on them for lunch everyday, and accepting this enlightenment might require you to cook for yourself for once in your life?
This is how they describe their chicken: Chicken breast with rib meat, water, seasoning (corn syrup solids, vinegar
powder [maltodextrin, modified corn starch and tapioca starch, dried vinegar], brown sugar, salt, dextrose, garlic powder, onion powder, chicken type flavor [hydrolyzed corn gluten, autolyzed yeast
extract, thiamine hydrochloride, disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate]), sodium phosphates.
"chicken type flavor" - feel like a champ, now?
"autolyzed yeast extract" - aka... MSG.
"hydrolyzed corn gluten" - WTF is this?
You're not eating a chicken breast. You're eating a chemical patty.
Wowzer, why you hating on Subway? They provide good food at an affordable price.
this seems like the type of troll thread where the OP creates it, gets a few responses, and then gets too bored to check any more of the responses. I'm sure he's since moved on to bigger and better trolling projects.

I just want you to know what you're eating, dawg! It's certainly better than nothing if it's all you can afford. It's also certainly better than McDonalds or other fast food joints!... It's just not as much better as you'd think.

And you don't understand why I don't care to take the time to spell out why you're such an idiot.

Please, I'm begging you to spit it out. If you can't spit it out, then you have nothing. Plain and simple. I've said NOTHING unreasonable at all. I've defended my points, but you continue to call me names (I called you one, too. I apologize for that). Seriously, man, why are you so threatened by me being critical of Subway? Are you the CEO or something?
I predict you don't respond to this. And if you do, you just say "you're a ________" again. Real bright.
