haha subway. "what's the name of that one bread they have... you know... the one that most smells like vomit."
"Ah yes. You must be referring to the asiago cheese, sir."
OP, Subway is terrible for you. Research proves over and over again that the more you process food, the less healthy it becomes. Subway is the perfect example of a corporation processing the sh!t out of every aspect of its food in order to save a buck.
If you really want to lose weight and get healthier, eat more fruit and veg. It's as simple as that.
What about the roasted chicken breast? I never get bacon or extra cheese, and I always gets lettuce and cucumbers.

I'm finding it hard to see how wheat bread, chicken breast meat, and a variety of vegetables is "terrible" for you.
the chicken and turkey subs are pretty healthy. anything with bacon, salami, pepperoni, ham, or roast beef will have like 50%DV of fat. all the dressings are probably about 90% pure fat as well

You're an ignorant moron. Wow. I really hope you're trolling.

Is the wheat bread made from "enriched" flour? I hear that stuff is deadly.
We can't tell you how to improve your diet if we don't know what you are currently eating.
All of the breads are packed with HFCS. If u must eat subway get it as a salad and stay away from their nasty dressings.

Yeah, are you joking? Have you ever looked at that "chicken breast meat." It's mechanically separated chicken goo meat, chicken nuggets.
This is your pre-grill-marked delicious chicken breast meat:
http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/foodbytes/2010/10/mechanically-separated-chicken-picture-nuggets.htmlThe thing that bothers me the most is that Subway is trying to fool me into thinking I'm eating something healthy and natural. NO! It's sh!t food. I hate being taken advantage of like that. Subway doesn't even respect you enough to tell you the truth about your food (or just to bother feeding you something respectable when you pay them), and you're alright with that? By all means, then, eat "fresh."

At least at the Subway near me, they'll let you bring your own bread. I usually buy a few good sandwhich rolls at the local bakery on Sunday. I can then just take my roll with me to work and get a tuna sub at Subway on my own bread.

Really, man? If you're really this stupid, just stop talking.

Really? You go to the trouble to buy your own bread then don't even make your own tuna salad?
Showing a picture of some ugly food doesn't make it bad (I understand your point, though). Shrimp looks like ass and people love it.
I don't find Subway particularly healthy.
A George Foreman grill was my savior. Slab on a big piece of chicken breast, a lean pork chop or an extra lean hamburger, throw on some spinach and tomatoes and you're done.
Stick a small potato in the microwave for a couple of minutes for some carbs and fiber.

Footlong Italian BMT: 32g of fat
Footlong Cold Cut Combo: 26g of fat
Footlong Meatball Marinara: 36g of fat
Footlong Tuna: 48g of fat
Footlong Spicy Italian: 48g of fat
Chipotle sauce had 10g of fat per serving (which is probably doubled for a 12 inch), Mayo-12g, Olive oil- 5g,
I was wrong about ham and roast beef, which have about 10g per Footlong
Yeah, because Subway is always touting their bacon-salami sandwhich with extra cheese and ranch as a healthy choice, you facking moron.
I'm not saying it's good for you, but it looks like their chicken breast is not made of mechanically separated chicken.
The bologna contains mechanically separated turkey, but I think that is no surprise to anyone.
Why do you need to lose weight? Are you training hard? Maybe you do.
Try eating more of the obvious ...fruits and veggies
Try omega 3 foods like guacamole, flax seed, wild salmon
Try low fat froZen yogurt and add some fresh fruit
Grab some raisins and nuts for snacks
Grab some nut mix (maybe mix in some dark chocolate pieces too)
Make a sandwich with turkey or grilled chicken, avocado, and tomato, etc
Take a multivitamin
Take Calcium and vitamin D
Get vitamin D level checked, especially during winter months
Get your iron, hemoglobin and hematocrit checked
Dont neglect core work. Do what you can to stay on top and injury free.
