I am looking at results, Google says she has the 5000 meters record for high school girls of 15:48, but Track and Field News gives it to Caitlin Chock?

I don't know. Maybe they don't include out of season marks (she ran that in late July)?
yes, it was summer after senior year. thats an insane time.
at 5'2, her legs were moving fast.
Didn't he who must not be named run 3:53.43 also the summer after his senior year
I believe Sisson ran 15:48 and Chock 15:52. I think anyone you ask would agree that Sisson has the record.
Cayla Hatton might be able to give it a shot this year...that 33:17 was might impressive and she has good speed too.
Sisson is a beast with that kind of aerobic engine. she is the next Shalane Flanagan, assuming she stays healthy.
i wonder what jordan could have done in the 5k or 10k as a senior.

She is wearing a dress in her facebook photo, and you can see that she isn't just rail thin type 1. She actually has strong lookign calves, suggesting lots of speed too:

Her legs are comically long compared to her torso. She is literally all legs and long, kind of like hicham el guerroug. Definitely built for distance running.

That's a ridiculous comment for anyone who actually follows distance running.

lol, i agree. i wasn't thinking about stride length. it was a naive statement.
Emily Sisson is awesome!
I was impressed by her 3k against Sheila Reid and some pros indoors, and the speed that she showed in the mile. Definitely a rising star in the 5k/10k ranks.

Are you insinuating she is using EPO???

Does anyone else not get the facebook links? This is what shows up upon clicking the link. Do you have to sign up to see any FB links? -- which I'm not going to do.

You shouldn't have to sign up if he does that
she's like a female chris solinsky with her muscular build and her endurance

I think Hatton could go sub-16, but I don't know if she'd get the record... would be nice to see her attempt it and find out though :)
ITs still early in the season, plus a month or two after she graduates, to get some more records. She is 27 seconds off of the 10K record.
I doubt Hatton will run another 10k. She mentioned dabbling in all distances, 800-10,000, but that she wants to focus on achieving B standards for the Trials in the steeple and the 5,000. I hope she runs the 5,000 at NBON and runs the Dream Mile...of course would love to see her in a 5k at Mt Sac or Stanford!
I'm guessing that is just another of TFN's random screw ups. Their top 10 all time high school list has Sisson listed as number 1.
