I wanna play!
I'm trying to break the cycle of injuries. I know it has become a cycle because I am stupid and often do stupid things like too many workouts and increasing mileage while adding workouts.
I've taken a few weeks off to get rid of the perpetual soreness that I've had in my legs. I'm trying to incorporate as much strengthening/yoga/leg exercises (like push-ups, crunches, one-legged squats) so that my legs toughen up a bit, build up core muscles so that I can handle more running. I know you said that for weekend warrior types, the extras are not important, but as a 38 yo female, I know I am losing muscle and doing some exercises might be good for not just my running, but overall health.
Question: What are your most recommended supplemental exercises if someone only has 10 minutes a day?
What about 20 minutes?
How many times a week is necessary?
