Indoor track season ended at the end of last week, we have been doing easy runs of about 40 minutes every day since, as part of the 2 week long base training period for outdoor. I think we will continue to to do runs of around that duration for the remainder of the base training phase (1 week left). I think after next week some workouts will be introduced. These 45 minute runs seem too short for my liking, and we always go to fast. I'd want to do like 70 minute easy runs. I'm a 800/1500 guy. Would it be alright to build up the mileage even if there is only one week left of base?
