4 years ago on a beautiful Sunday long run, the legendary Darryl created what would become the greatest sporting event known to Canadians. The perfect combination of grease, sweat and sugar induced two 2 diabetes. The Highway 2 McDonalds Challenge is race of grand proportions consisting of:
* a ~4km run to McDonalds from the Queen's PEC
* purchasing and eating 1 double Big Mac, 1 large Coke and 1 large fries. Eating must be completed on the outside benches at McDonalds.
* returning to the PEC
Runners may use any public route to get to the McDonalds. You may not pre-order food. You have to eat the food as it is prepared for you by McDonalds. Throwing up at any time results in a "penalty lap' which is completed upon arrival at the PEC. No stomach performance enhancing drugs are permitted. A team component has been added this year where teams of two will be competing. The team with the fastest combined time will win the team portion.
