Schedule of events:
http://hepstrack.com/championships/outdoor-heps/2011-championships/
And even though the link address says 2011, it is the 2012 schedule.
As for beer near Franklin Field, there are a number of little restaurants and pubs between Chestnut and Market Streets, up near S 36th Street. Rustic Pizza has both good food and and a decent bar.
Also, Cabral seems to have confirmed he will attempt the three-peat in the 10K/SC double this weekend to Runner's World:

Thanks for the link, though RW erred (shocker there) in saying DC won the 5,000 and 3,000 at indoor Heps. He was third in the 3,000.
That interview sounded like the Princeton coaches have nixed the possibility of Cabral's tripling (adding the 5,000 to the 10,000 and SC). I guess we'll see about that when the heat sheets come out (though I agree that Princeton has got plenty of guys who can run a fast 5,000)--anyone who thinks Princeton wouldn't pull out all the stops to beat Cornell does not know recent Heps history very well...
I don't think many people even know how Heps work, including the Ivy League sports office. Only today do they post anything about Heps, as the last time they posted anything related to T&F was back in March. Ivy League is only offering recaps, results, and photos.
Anyone have a ballpark guess on when we see the sheets go up?

Excellent! Do you know where?
Oops, never mind--just had to refresh a time or three...
Chris Bain not in the meet for Cornell...Huber in decathlon, HH, HJ, not 400H.
M. Hewitt in 100 only (and backup on relay). L. Lloyd (2:08 last year as frosh) not in the meet.
Okay, I did a quick (i.e. not proofread) rescoring of the men's meet, based on the heat sheets and the seeds there.
Apologizing in advance for arithmetic mistakes (and, as usual, ignoring wind aid and fractions of a point), I got:
Cornell 212
Princeton 173
Columbia 71
Harvard 70
Dartmouth 47
Brown 41
Yale 38
Penn 28
BUT:
Obviously Princeton has opportunities to "find" points: Cabral, entered with no seed time, doesn't show up (in this scoring) in the 10,000; and I suspect PU can do a little better than their fifth-place seed in the 4x400 would suggest.
Cornell also has chances to pick up unseeded points, and is getting triple duty from several of its athletes in an attempt to do so.
The throws, as anticipated, will be intense. So will the distance races: in addition to Cabral, both Lowry and Leakos are entered in the 10,000 with no seed. If the men in that race make it an honest contest, and don't leave it to a kick, there could be a bunch of fast times--Clas's 29:00 could even be in danger.
WOMEN:
Cornell 176
Princeton 117
Columbia 100
Harvard 84
Brown 81
Penn 78
Dartmouth 49
Yale 27
Speaking of "found" points: Columbia will have some of those opportunities (e.g. they're probably capable of scoring more than eight points, total, in the relays), but the big gainer should be Dartmouth with the unseeded D'Agostino in the 1,500/3,000/4x800. Princeton's women have made much progress lately and could score quite a few surprise points, with athletes finishing higher than the minor places currently projected.
Good night, all. See you soon.
MR going byebye!!
7:25.36 Penn 2011
Harwood, Chylak, Fulton, Finucane
7:25.72 Columbia 2011
Isaacson, Kovalczyk, McFann, Stewart

The men's 4x800 has only been run twice at Heps, so it is to be expected that the meet record will go down, given how talented the relay field is this year.
The bigger question is, will any other meet records fall? I think the men's hammer is likely but who knows on all of the others.

Mens 5k looks like it could be a candidate - but you never know. Here's hoping they run it all out.
The 5k will likely be tactical, so that will likely stand. I think almost all of the distance events will be that way unless someone is willing to gun it at the start.
Wow, latest projections from "kibitzer's" virtual results notwithstanding, HEPS is turning out to be a real squeaker so far. In the IRE event sub-set, it looks like a wash so far between Cornell and Princeton. However, with the day's field events over ("FEMD"), despite the virtual meet projection of a Cornell FEMD juggernaut (92 vs. 54 projected points, Cornell versus Princeton), Princeton closes the day with a sizable lead over Cornell in field events, 39 - 31! Do you believe in miracles! Considering field is supposed to be Cornell's strength, this suggests the outcome of HEPS will once again go down to an event by event slugfest between Cornell and Princeton right up to the very last event, with the winds perhaps shifting in Princeton's favor considering Princeton's success in field today. Stay tuned. Hang on to your hats. The battle lines are drawn. We are in for one heck of a ride. my friends. We are going to be on the edges of our seats ladies and gentlemen right through tomorrow's last relays.
D'Ag set a new meet record in the 1500 prelims, 4:19.93.
And McCullough reset the hammer record 236-8.
Wow! Connor McCarthy made the final of the 100 for Harvard. He was unbelievable in high school but kept on hurting his hamstring.
