I was there and watched all of these races. All were sit and kick, including the 800. In the 800 he just waited behind the guy who led and went past him in the last lap. He didn't win by much but it looked easy. All the other races he sat back in the pack and moved in the last 400.

Apparently there were none in these races.
40 points by one person is pretty good.
There aren't too many scenarios that allow this without relays.
Maybe someone that mixes sprints and jumps.
