I'm trying to decide how aggressive of a trail shoe I need to run in the Marin headlands in December. Inov-8's have treated me nicely and I can't tell if the Flite 195 is enough or the XTalon 190 is too much. Advice is greatly appreciated.

Go with a racing flat that has a bit of cushion to it (lunaracer or similar). I've given up on trail shoes. Unless you're running through a bog or other muddy course they offer very little.
