it really depends on what events you're running and whether you're used to running on your toes or not. I personally like the ventulus spikes which have the same plate as the matumbos but I do use victories when i run 800/1500. Tried a 3000 once and it wasn't too good halfway through.
Victories for 400-Mile
Matumbos 3000 and up
You are screwed for anything in between ha!
Mambas for 800-Steeple works too
