LunarGlide 4 - hmmmmmm

The flyknit racers and trainers look pretty awesome. the Lunar glide 4 however still looks to be really bulky. Did I read right that all these new shoes will be released in July?
It looks like Nike is going in a nice direction regarding there shoes.
Men's will come in around 9.7oz. Not big and bulky at all. Probably looks bulky due to the color displayed on the web page.
10mm offset, nice and light. I can't wait!
this is disappointing...loved the LunarGlide2s, hated the 3s, these look like they'll be just like the 3s. The LunarGlides are turning into the LunarEclipses
Did they lower the heel at all?
no it's been 10mm since the original.
Lunareclipse 2 is very good, if you need a stable cushioned shoe. The new upper fits like a dream. Our store sells a ton of them.
The new zoom elite is fantastic, that's my every day trainer. However, the new Pegasus 29 comes out in June. That's going to be amazing, sub 10oz, seamless mesh upper, lots of cushion.
So, Zoom Elite for responsive ride and Pegasus for premium cushioning. Nike is starting to get it right again.
To all you haters out there, gotta give the swoosh props. USA track and field would be nothing without Nike. Do any of you think Brooks, Asics, Saucony or NB are gonna pony up the dough to keep athletes and events happening? All the other brands combined do WAY less than what Nike does on it's own to support Track and Field in the USA and world wide......
Nike isn't perfect and it's a juggernaut of a business but it's a legit supporter of athletics.

I agree, I hate the LG3- what did they do to it and why? LG2 was my favorite shoe ever(and I've been running since 1971).

Where did you get info on the new pegasus?
I HAAAAATED the upper on the LG2. Fit really nice through the midfoot and then a feed bag for a toebox. Didn't fit me well at all.
However, the midsole (note, MIDSOLE, not the upper) didn't change that much from LG2 to LG3. The outsole and upper changed pretty dramatically, but the heart and soul of the shoe stayed mostly the same.
What events are you talking about? Prefontaine? Penn Relays?

I can't pinpoint what I don't like about them. The "ride" just isn't as comfortable to me. I did notice the difference in the toe box- it seems tighter to me now- something that fits you better.
It seems there is more support in the 3's.
I also run in Saucony Pro Rides (4? I forgot which number) and I like them and the ASICS Cumulus. I also use the Saucony Mirage sometimes and love them but I'd have trouble if I used them every day.
I've heard raves about the 4. It is significantly lighter than the previous iterations. I don't hate the 3, but definitely prefer the 2.
