None of us are getting out alive champ. Life and death are as human as success and failure. Paterno lived a good life. He died a good death at home with his family I imagine.

May look similar, but I think the way it worked was probably different. If Bryant and Rooney retired voluntarily, they probably did so because they knew their health was failing and they probably didn't have another season in them.

Paterno on the other hand may not have realized he was so close, but as mentioned by other posters the stress of the forced ousting probably advanced his ailments rapidly.

Do you think that after this was reported to him and he knew Sandusky was involved in a childrens charity, that he felt queazy about it? What did he do about that? Again nothing.

JoePa should have shot Sandusky dead if even suspecting his lechery. Anything less is simply doing nothing. All molesters should be shot or hanged (republicans as well, but that's a different story).

That retard farmer, mediocre Naval officer and worst President in our history was dead wrong. Unforgivable- he screwed the entire 1980 US Olympic team.

Bill Rodgers, Craig Virgin, Greg Louganis, and Carl Lewis were in some case gold medal contenders that year. If this happened in the age of social media, I shudder to think of the shit storm that would have rained on top of that loser from Plains, GA.
