I'm a HS Junior and trying to run under 9:20 for 3200m. Speed is not my strong suit so I'm wondering what work now should I do to get under 9:20 in May. I have a solid amount of base in currently. I'm at 60mpw and will be up to 65 mpw. I'm lifting 2+ times per week in case you see right through this post, as I am a scrawny guy even for distance runners.
If tempos, how far and how fast?
I have limited access to indoor tracks so I can get shorter workouts in.
If you've seen Distance Training: The Michigan Way, I am doing the 50-50-50s that are mentioned in that movie. (If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.)
